We met like most young couples these days: on a dating app (two, to be exact). We met on Bumble in 2016 and had our first date sitting and talking for hours by the ocean...which happened to be behind a cemetery. Matt left for the Caribbean that fall, and Lara thought it was over. But the dating site algorithms had other plans: we were reconnected on OkCupid in December when Matt came back. We knew better than to let each other go this time, and we've been pretty much inseparable ever since.
We've had quite a few adventures since then, like going on a road trip to Canada in March (yes, it was cold), moving to Virginia and back, adopting our darling cat Calliope, and of course living through a global pandemic together. As we look forward to our wedding and starting our life as husband and wife, we can't wait see what the future holds.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will we be eating?
Brunch is a meal that holds a special place in our hearts, after spending many weekend mornings going out to brunch or cooking at home. We love breakfast foods, especially waffles, so we will be having a brunch buffet for dinner! If you have any allergies or special dietary needs, please let us know so we can talk to our caterer.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code! We want you wear whatever makes you comfortable. Please do keep in mind that we will be having an outdoor ceremony and tented reception in the afternoon in October in Massachusetts, so dress accordingly for whatever New England weather we may be having that day.
What COVID-19 precautions will you have?
With the emergence of the Delta variant in MA, we are taking the following precautions and ask for your help in making sure we can all stay safe and have fun!
- Masks: If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you please wear a mask.
If you are vaccinated, you are welcome to wear a mask depending on your own needs and comfort.
We will have some masks available if you happen to forget yours (but encourage you to bring your own). The catering staff will also be wearing masks. - About the venue: Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held entirely outside in the gardens of Long Hill. If we do run into rain, the ceremony will be held in a large, outdoor tent, which is where the reception will also be held. The tent also has walls that can be lowered in case of rain or cold. Right now our guest list is sitting around 50 attendees, so we will have plenty of room to move around! Long Hill is considered an outdoor venue, so indoor mask mandates in Beverly will not affect the event. However, if you feel more comfortable in a mask, that’s fine too!
-
Hand Sanitizer: We will have hand sanitizer available.
-
Not feeling well? If the day arrives and you aren’t feeling well, we ask that you please stay home and take care of yourself. We will of course miss seeing you but your health is much more important and we will make sure to get together post-wedding!
We will continue to monitor the situation and comply with whatever Massachusetts regulations are in place at the time of the wedding. Please check the following webpages for up-to-date information for MA:
Are children welcome?
Yes! We want all of our family and friends to celebrate with us, and that includes kids.

Registry
After four years of living together, we've built a very comfortable home together and find there isn't really anything that we need in terms of items. The best present is your presence, but if you would like to give a gift, please consider donating to our honeymoon fund and contributing to a beautiful experience.
We were in the midst of planning a trip to Ireland in 2020 when the pandemic hit. While we are sad we couldn't go last year, we're looking forward to a trip to County Kerry in 2022 to celebrate our marriage!
